FreedomTG Web is an independent open-source third-party mirror of the official Telegram web client, hosted at cdn-static.digitarget.ru.

The source code is a fork of the official open-source repository github.com/Ajaxy/telegram-tt (GPL-3.0), maintained by the Telegram team. We did not write this client from scratch and do not disguise third-party code as Telegram — it is literally the same open-source client with a changed WebSocket transport URL so traffic goes through our relay.

The service is operated by the FreedomTelecom project and is provided to users whose direct access to the official Telegram client is obstructed by network conditions (blocks, DPI filtering, geographic restrictions, etc.).

Код — форк официального open-source репозитория github.com/Ajaxy/telegram-tt (лицензия GPL-3.0), поддерживаемого командой Telegram. Мы не писали этот клиент с нуля и не маскируем сторонний код под Telegram — это буквально тот же open-source клиент с изменённым URL WebSocket-транспорта.

Сервис поддерживается проектом FreedomTelecom и предоставляется пользователям, у которых прямой доступ к Telegram затруднён по сетевым причинам (блокировки, DPI-фильтрация, географические ограничения).

The service works as a transparent WebSocket relay: your browser establishes an end-to-end encrypted MTProto 2.0 connection directly with Telegram servers. Our server merely forwards the already-encrypted bytes and does not have access to the content of your messages, account, password, or authentication code.

• Encryption: MTProto 2.0 (E2E between your browser and Telegram)
• Our server: sees only encrypted traffic, stores no message logs

Сервис работает как прозрачный WebSocket-relay: ваш браузер устанавливает end-to-end шифрованное соединение MTProto 2.0 непосредственно с серверами Telegram. Наш сервер лишь перенаправляет уже зашифрованные байты и не имеет доступа к содержимому ваших сообщений, аккаунту, паролю или коду авторизации.

Technically, yes: thanks to end-to-end MTProto encryption, neither our relay server, nor the domain owner, nor intermediate providers can read your messages or gain access to your account.

That said, if you don't trust independent mirrors as a matter of principle, please use the official Telegram web client or the official mobile/desktop Telegram apps.

• Changes in our fork: only the three files responsible for the WebSocket transport URL — so the connection goes through our relay. No cryptography, client logic, or UX was modified.
• Why a fork, not an iframe/redirect: iframe embedding of official web.telegram.org is blocked by X-Frame-Options, and a redirect cannot bypass blocked WebSocket connections to Telegram servers — which is precisely why the relay exists.
